My MR-S

Postby skinz on Fri Jul 23, 2010 8:23 pm

Just thought I'd cut this down a bit, in short:

Whats been done since Ive got it:
New BC racing coilovers
Full car flattened and polished
Bonnet, Bootlid, O/S quarter & part of front bumper resprayed (due to bird crap & sap eing baked into paint)
TRD style spoiler (now fitted, pic below)
Drains cleaned out
Basslink & new Pioneer HU
Precats removed
Weekly polishing :p

Still to do:
Repair dented bonnet (from kids jumping on it)
Refurb alloys
Red JDM alloy centre caps (on order from USA)
Red JDM Nose Badge (on order from USA)
Black JDM Steering Wheel Badge (on order from USA)
Facelift colour coded sidevents (on order)
Facelift Bumper Inserts (on order)
New Jap Plate on rear (properly sized this time :p)
AEM intake
Custom twin exit exhaust with oval tailpipes
Paint calipers red

Some pics:

Definitely had a rough ride so far hopefully all the inconsiderate b****rds have gone away for the summer now and you can enjoy your car how you want it... not covered in dents!

Looks nice and shiny, should be good with the new mods. Liking the alloys, hopefully look good on the black car.

Who said you could use a picture of my car? :P Yeah those bumper inserts really make a huge difference over the pre-facelift look, best thing you can do to the back of your car. Remember you need 2 extra parts on the MR-S due to numberplate differences, I'm sure you've seen them on the previous post where you got that pic but just in case you missed it.

s**t happeneds mate, shame some people are such wastes of sperm.

Bodywork and mapping are some of the most annoying things to find that are good and reliable. Luckily I have 2 good bodyshops and a mapper I trust now, but at a cost of a grand finding the right places

Keep it up and Im sure it will be fine bud.

Lol yeh have seen your car before on forum... looking good, yeh been in contact with CTP so got a list of all the parts i need - just the cash i need first though lol. Needing to get a new plate as mine dont look quite right - bad cut by last garage - do you know of any websites that can make up the correct size?

Was planning on ordering vents & inserts on monday, but think i may go just for the vents + endevor to get my bonnet fixed first... aurgh lol everying takes too long, but it'll all be worth it :p

Edited:

Decided not to go with new alloys, and just keep stock wheels and get them refurbed (1. saves some cash 2. no issues with speedo reading 3. the car was designed with them so they do look somewhat good 4. split rim refurb could be costly :p) - think ive convinced myself enough now

Pic of spoiler fitted now (from mobile so not the best) - everything flattened and buffered up great - so well chuffed now...just dented bonnet to go + vents and bumper inserts until body work it complete :p
