What Size Tyre's?

Postby kentboy on Sun Jul 25, 2010 3:44 pm

As you all know, the Stock Wheels on the MR2 corrode and the paint bubbles up.

My Mrs wants to put a new set of wheels on to improve the appearance of her car.

Now, here's the question ---------------- What would you all recommend size wise - she wants to stick to 15's so she hasn't got to pay more on the insurance. I say 17's but she has seen a "2" with this size on and thinks they're too big for the car.

So, being tactful and compromising, I said about 16's.
Seen some nice wheels in all the mentioned sizes but REALLY need to know what size Tyres to put on, as we know , stock are different front and rear............

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :?

15" - F 185/55x15 - R 205/50x15 (stock sizes pre facelift)

15" and 16" - F 185/55x15 - R 215/45x16 (stock on post facelift) or F 195/50x15 R 225/40x16

16" - F 195/45x16 - R 225/40x16

17" - Not wanted anyway ;)

Remember to keep all four tyres the same make and model.
