What do people think of this kit?

hi guys,

I'm debating on whether to get a body kit for my 2 as I would really like to keep my fog lights.

I cant find any bodykits that actually let you use the facelift fogs at all!
so as an alternative I found this..

but "CONSTRUCTED FROM POLYFIBER MATERIAL" scared me a lil.. is this good or sh**?

at the moment I am only shopping for the front lip and side skirts.

I am after as close as possible to the Toyota front lip.

1. Does anyone on here have this lip kit?

2. My car is already lowered. Am I going to have issues with speed bumps etc?

3. Does anyone have any other ideas?

4. Can someone confirm that side skirts are compatible with pre and post facelifts i.e it doesn't matter the age.

and yea I have been searching around! The genuine toyota one is just too expensive for what it is.
The other kits listed as 2000 > 2005 all seem like you take the bumper off.

That's facelift front spats with universal splitters attached Russ.

I cant really take all the credit for this idea as a few others have done something simular. Im pretty happy with the outcome

thanks guys. Nath I like the setup, but I dont like the price of the front splitters from Toyota at the moment. I need to find some 2nd hand me thinks.

Why dont any body kit manufactures have a rip off version of them? haha I know what a cheap skate I am....haha

I got mine from Ebay and had to get them painted. Probably would have worked out cheaper to get them from MrT's in the end if they come already painted

£350 for just the spats from toyota... not painted
£507 for the side skirts...

for that money id get the tte bumper...

this has already been an expensive month for my car.

Mot fail on rust (needs welding) and handbrake which might need a new caliper. at the moment Im thinking ill upgrade the speakers instead.

local garage in wokingham that we have been going to for years because they have always treated us well and not overcharged or done any unnecessary work.

do u think i should get Mr T to have a look? the work hasnt been done yet (booked for thurs).

Toyota give a 12 year corrosion perforation warranty on the MR2.

Sorry, but I've seen more than one MR2 with holes in the rear subframe big enough to fit a fist through.. so yes, there are plenty of cars out there now with serious rust. Toyota's paint finish on that part is utterly laughable.
