After market front bumper fitted

Postby life of bryan on Mon Jul 26, 2010 10:16 pm

Well I'm back after my month long stint in the naughty corner for posting a PM and I have done a few bits of paint work in that time to the car like had my hard top and TTE rear spoiler resprayed due to a poor paint job previously on the spoiler and a nasty stone chip and a couple of scratches on the hard top but the most noticeable thing is my new front bumper, after £120 paint job,£30 facelift number plate holder and £20 of badges here's the result:

Don't really like the bumper (it's those grills either side of badge, rest looks good) but the paint job looks like a good match!

You got/getting side skirts, looks pretty low, must look fugly if you don't have skirts?

Welcome back to the fold. Car's looking very nice. Is it a Varis bumper? I am a big fan of diverting from the Stock look, esp of the pre facelift. And yes, you need a full kit on not just part of one.

I am in two minds on that bumper. I love the two upper vents, not a fan of the big smiling grill below it though. I do like the way the bonnet lines work down the bumper to a point too.

It is certainly unique. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh.

I like the bumper, but you need a complete kit.
Did you buy it from prolex?

I have no idea what make it is and suspect it is the only one in the UK,I think a black and red TTE badge would have gone really well on the front.

hmmmm...I'm in two minds about that bumper. It really reminds me of the front end of an MG TF.

I reckon I could alter the smiley grill with some front bumper inserts each side I could have made up.

I kind of see what your saying but that's a bit like saying the MR2 reminds me of an MGTF.

I like it, the lines from the bonnet onto the bumper, upper grills go well and the bottom grill is like the facelift bumper (without the split). Good choice and great spray job on it too.

Little bit of research and I found it's Abflug http://at.abflug.jp/outlet/

It actually has nice side skirts and rear bumper too, I'm not one for bodykits on the MK3 but this one is rather good imho.
Nice work Bryan, the paint quality looks superb.

Oh, they also do this bad boy

Nice one Nic,it would have bugged me not knowing.I am very confident this is a genuine one and not a copy as it has a feel of really good quality with an OEM solidness and all the fixing holes were in the correct place making it a doddle for me to fit. :D
