rhd to lhd conversion

Postby richytish » Fri Sep 16, 2011 6:40 pm

hi I'm moving from the uk to spain within the next few months and i hate the idea to sell my roadster. has anybody had any experiance with converting their car to the opposite drive?or any ideas on what i will need to do so.
from what iv seen its
steering rack
and some heater parts under the dash that need repacing with lhd items
think i should be able to use the same brake cylinder /pedals / coloum just moving them over .

anybody breaking a lhd model ?

Change the headlights to make it legal, then carry on driving. Just about everything will change forward of the seats, behind the headlights, underneath the frunk, not to mention the wiring looms etc etc. The work would be so great as to be pointless financially.

The way the Spanish drive I dont think you will notice the steering is on the wrong side. My bro in law live outside Alicante and still drives his UK car.
If you are desperate buy a 2 over there. They have a few in France so you should find one.
