Cheers guys.

Next thing is to make a decision on the rear valance and C-One vents, then I guess it's fitting the turbo   s:mrgreen:  s:mrgreen:   I'd rather it was warm though so I might wait  s:lol:  s:lol:

I'll have to take her for a drive to check out the new brace, I've been naughty and the last time I used her other than the MOT 2 weeks ago was the Southern Softies run   s:scared: :scared: s:scared:

I'd done 2300 miles this year since I've owned it between MOTs, I think in the MR-S I'd done 5500 between 2 MOTs so I think I've been an owner for a very long time although I did take the MR-S a lot more on short drives.

It's mainly a problem since we moved in Jan, the Fiesta blocks the '2 in on the drive, so if I'm going to the shops or something there's no point moving the Fiesta to get the '2 out.

really nice mate.  love the sable colour!  i always think the spoiler looks too big without a hardtop.  my plan is to get a big spoiler for use with the hardtop and a ducktail spoiler for use when the tops down.  on two diff engine lids of course and just swop them over as and when  s;-) ;-) s;-)

Of course  s:) :) s:)  2 coats, it comes as part of the 2 piece set. I think it's basically £30 for some normal polish and a UV sealant spray... but it definitely worked!

Some progress! Well done mate

Will be a different car once turbo and suspension fitted. Did you update the clutch as well?

Good progress.
I can't recommend waxoyl with a turbo car it all ran out of mine.

Famous last words but I'm going to see how it gets on. I never fitted one last time and it didn't slip in 1.5 years, as far as I know that was stock... I  do have a brand new RPS clutch still so if it goes wrong this time I'm primed and ready!

Not sure I want to attempt a clutch change so more likely a job for professionals.

Still not fired her up as Emanage isn't in yet, too much lost time over the weekend from rain showers unfortunately and lost light last night.

The good thing about the conversion is there's now nothing under the frame to heat it up! Dimitrol a better option, or something else?

Can't remember what we did on the V6 apart from cover it in rubberised paint.
Dimitrol  and dynax are popular.

Well I went to finish the job last night and I forgot about the stupid 5 point torx security bolts on the ECU to get the bottom two connectors out! Now ordered a set of 5-point torx bits from Amazon and have to wait until Thursday  s:( :( s:(  (we won't mention the fact I attempted to hack the bolt off so have probably screwed it   s:lol:  s:lol:  ) fingers crossed!

Haha. Took me and Stew a dremel, two cutting discs and a metal drill to get his out because they had been manfangled by another "untrained marmoset" using a 6 point torx.

I did think of getting the Dremel on it, then thought in such close proximity to the ECU wires it probably wasn't the best idea in case of any kick... so I put it away and got on Amazon  s:lol:  s:lol:  I had already tried drilling out the centre pin and then putting a flat head in two of the holes, so we'll just have to hope the 5 points are still in tact (the pin in the middle definitely isn't  s:D :D s:D ... I just need more patience. I was meant to be driving to Cardiff on Friday for the weekend, but I think if I only get her up and running Thursday night that's not the best idea for a virgin trip... train it is!

So after the issues with the turbo to downpipe bolts being sorted http://www.mr2roc.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=63531 I decided to use the car last week. Worked fine over the weekend, but then I tried to take her to work on Wednesday and wouldn't crank. Fully charged battery and was dropping down to 4v on crank... dead. Lasted just under 6 years.    s:( :( s:(

Grabbed a new battery from MrT and took her to work yesterday, lovely   s:D :D s:D  However, noticed  a small coolant leak on the turbo feed pipe that had left a patch on the drive when I went out this morning so I'm currently on the train to the office! Not quite smooth sailing, but I'm getting there...

Turbo oil and coolants lines are a ball ache and I feel your pain.
Hope it a quick easy fix.

Now with added Cruise Control! MWR Kit installed today. Only tried it out for a few mins, but will get some proper use on the motorway later this week.

Neglected this thread a little, will have to update...

Been 3 years since I last posted up in here, we moved house 1 month after my last post (Nov 20) and the car has been a little bit neglected since then, if I'm honest, as so much to do with the house... in fact, over those 3 years, all I've done is driven 2,000 miles, done the spark plugs/air filter once and changed the oil 3 times.

I still have piles of things in the garage to add and really want to get the love back, but I did actually finally manage to do something just over an hour ago... only because I was reminded that I'd bought these from TCB 1 year ago today and they've been sat in the garage since then!

Here we have it... new headlights for Mable! Such a massive difference, which is plain to see with the side-by-side pics. Obviously I fitted 1 then it started chucking it down, so hence the O/S pic has a lot of rain :D
