Many have and state that it makes quite a big difference. Unlike a rear strut bar, which apparently is a waste of cash

It depends what suspension you have IMHO.
With coil overs I think as much bracing as you can get.
With standard ish spring and damper a mid style  brace would do for most.
We all have different ideas however so whatever works for you.

Edit
Obviously later cars benifit from better bracing from the factory so that makes a difference too.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Quote from: "jaworjawor"not sure if front strut brace helps anything, the front is very light in our cars. Maybe someone who installed one may tell if felt any difference

I fitted an upper front brace and felt it really helped with understeer on my pre facelift

I remember when people said the middle brace wouldn't make as much of a difference on facelifts.... We all know better now!

I would like a complete set of ultra bracing but it's a little to rich for me.
Gone a bit off topic here tbh.

Very impressive, id be interested in front arb if you do knock some up. Theres a massive gap in the market for those over here.

exhaust job done. I fitted oem 2zz manifold, just rewelded it by the flange. This is how oem manifold fits in mr2

Welding:

Manifold flange neede resurfacing after welding. Then we ported and polished the runners and port-matched to head (exhaust gasket was pattern)

The rest of the exhaust system are two big staight-through mufflers. The system starts at 2,75 then goes to 2,5 inch diameter

The whole system with manifold weight 13,5kg (oem mr2 is 28,5kg). Other jobs done recently:
-clutch cylinder
-throttle body connected
-fuel
-wiring loom
-gear selector linkage
-cooling system
-catch tank
-mocal sandwich plate and cooler lines
-axles and rear suspension

tomorrow is a big day  s:) :) s:)

Neeed help please! The engine doesnt start without a little gas, then dies if I let go the gas pedal. The revs are unstable. Theres engine light on but I dont know what code because it is jdm ecu. Did I swapped the tps wires correctly?

The wires are correct. Did you do the wires at the ecu end correctly?

jaworjawor

to be honest I;m not sure if all the wiring is correct because I did it 2 months ago, but I remember I checked everything 5 times before doing anything, I think the tps wires I did good too. Tps was my frist thought, but if this is correct I'll try the coolant temp sensor, I have a spare. Then I think I will try to read the code and maybe that will help.
Another bad news is I lost coolant reservoir cap and cant driv without it   s:evil:  s:evil:

We have had a few of those go missing lately.

is there any way to read jobd codes on mr2 spyder? Any way to bridge ports in diagnostic port somewhere and count the flashes?

Anonymous

#72
There is the paper clip method

jaworjawor

#73
yes I read about that metod but do you know any details? Which ports to bridge, where are they?
