A) that looks tiny so I'm guessing 100cell. Not sure that will make passing emissions easy. So you're probably looking at p0420 error constantly (cat efficiency) and you'll need to blast it properly before MOT

B) pre-cats have little to nothing to do with MOT. Especially if you have to have the cat red hot to pass, those cats aren't doing crap.

You might need one of these to stop the Check light.... I had to use one of these on my RX8 with a sport cat

Handy thing is it has bungholes (stop sniggering at the back) before and after the cat, so fitting a wideband will be much less hassle

With the much smaller cats you could wrap them with exhaust wrap to get the temperatures up.

Got it also in my watching list as my cat heat shield rattles and I think a flexi is also leaking.
If anyone else has one before I become the test subject.

100 would be hard work imho.
My 200 needed to be hot hot hot come MOT time.

I've been looking at this and was also dubious about the 100 cat.

on my RX8 I had to use a sensor adaptor when I had a 200 Cell cat otherwise it would chuck a CEL, but then again RX8s use much more fuel than the Roadster

Has anyone fitted this 100 cell cat from ebay in the end? Says they've sold a few of them and I've been searching the net to see if anyone posted how they got on but they haven't...
Just a bit on edge with it only being 100 cell. My cat is shot and the heat shields are rattling. Not surprised as it's probably the original!

Thanks for the reply, I can get car stuff cheap anyway... they're just not so jazzy! haha

I liked the look of this because I can chop the cat section, put on flanges and get a swap-able silencer. Just for the sake of doing it haha. I'd like to make sure it will pass an MOT with the cat section in though.

fit isn't perfect if you have a twin exhaust exhaust but can be done.

the Flexi on mine went but offered to replace which I've done.

Mine also passed emmissions with this cat, as others have said, fitment could be better.
