Aux belt Length?

Had a good poke around on here and on Google.  I keep getting two different specs.  For car with aircon, either 1400 or 1420.  That can't be right.  Then I've found 1730, which seems more like it, but that's for the 1ZZ with aircon in the Avensis.

Trying to buy a generic Gates belt....

Anyone have a definitive answer?

If it's any help, my air con equipped 1zz uses a Continental 6PK1693 (checked the part number from the email of the one that Patrick fitted).

Supposedly the naming convention is number of ribs, then length in mm. A quick Google of parts sites suggests mine is either 1690 or 1692mm so the story just about checks out.

My silver non AC car has a 6PK1400 belt.

Thanks for the info, all.  So I've ordered generically.  6PK 1693 by Gates was the best I found.

Mods: Perhaps we could put the belt length and definition in the Reference section?  Handy to know.  Saves a few squids doing it this way.
