Anyone got a video of a 1zz with a decatted midpipe??

I've got a twin Magnex exhaust but sounds pretty quiet. Thinking about cutting out the cat and replacing it with some pipe may give it a nicer noise and want rough ideas what it would sound like.

Also anyone know what the diameter of the mid pipe is?

Thanks

Call the midlife!

If it's for a road car just bear in mind the potential changes to the MOT test, probably won't pass emissions anyway regardless.
Don't know what difference a 200 cell sports cat would make to the noise but there's a few on here have them fitted.

If I could get a video of both, would be even better.

My flexi is broken anyway and was able to get a used replacement midpipe for reeaaally cheap. Thinking of modifying the old one and keeping the new one for MOT purposes. Also thought about adding an electronic valve maybe in place of the cat just for the hell of it but imagine it sounding horrible being a straight pipe and can't see myself driving anywhere with the valve open lol.

Also anyone know what the diameter of the stock mid pipe is? 2" or 2.25"?
And possibly the size of the flexipipe? Midpipe has twin flexis but one of them is bust and needs to be replaced.

That sounds goood, thanks. It was me who messaged you about your exhaust few days ago haha.

Is that with the stock box? And do you have happen to have a pic of the exhaust?

Just need to know the midpipe diameter now so I know what sized pipe to get to replace my cat. Anyone got any ideas?

How do you propose to pass the MOT?

Someone had to ask
It had to be you.

My V6 had not cat when I bought it.
Reckon it was one of those MOT over the phone jobs.
Fully legal now. Not worth the hassle.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Had a friend who ended up doing six months for dodgy MOTs....

He never asked about mot just wanted a pic of the set up with out :)

I do understand why you asked though but that will be up to him

Awwwesome, thanks for the pic mate!

I've already got a catback exhaust so thinking removing the cat will give me a similar sort of noise.

Sorry for all the questions lol but is 2.25" same size as the stock piping? Looks alot bigger that stock in the pic.
I'm planning on modding my stock midpipe so looking for the diameter of this bit...

(Edited random pic of google)

Not too worried about MOT. I've got another midpipe to put on when it comes to that  :)

I bought a decat pipe earlier this year. Still in the shed. I don't think I'll ever get round to fitting it

I'll measure the outside circumference of the pipe later when it's warmed up a little. With a little calculation I'm sure we can work out the diameter
