Price sounds fair to me and happy to make a club donation.

Carolyn

It will come out of the price.  Either way - the buyer pays as always!!

I'm definitely in. Cash on collection do or do you want $$$s up front?
No Longer Here

The road to hell is paved with money up front!!  (Thanks for the offer, though).

Payment upon receipt is my preferred method.

I don't know the final price until I've made one. The steel and profiles only arrived today.

We'll start on the prototype tomorrow.

The £120 is an estimate.

Now we're having fun.

Nothing like having a creative project on the go.

We're still a few days away from a finished prototype, but it's starting to look like a winner...

A combination of a bit of fiddling about in the engine compartment and using the front compartment as a template for the brace.  There's some subtle angles involved.  The strut tower tops do not sit flat.  Lot's of measuring, fitting, measuring, sucking teeth, coming up with solutions.

Handy having a guinea-pig car.

The distinguishing marque of the thoughful but determined engineer (also whilst holding a cuppa!).

I am positive you will come out with a good solution. :)

"Slots" in a brace you're trying to prevent flex looks like a design flaw . I'd re-think that .

Same as TRD.. cars are not identical. They are required for fit.

Rethink if you want....

Clamping force from the nuts holds it in place, not a tightly fitting hole.

Good brace. Definitely more for track purposes though. No way the plastics or lid for cubby would fit over that
...neutiquam erro.

That's a serious race conversion you're doing.  You should give us a 'Reader's Ride' thread on that.  Got my curiosity!!

Yes!

That definitely looks like a Reader's Ride needed.

Meant to respond to this yesterday and got side-tracked (again!).

Yes -  teeth sucking is utterly required. We're getting there.

Input required.

We'll be making decisions on powder coating shortly.

To keep the price down, they have to be done as a batch.

Colour preferences everyone?  I've already got yours, Scotte.....

Bright Silver?  More conservative silver/grey?  Bright red?

You need something distinctive as I see this as a the beginning of a range of products that you might deliver... ;)

Colours currently used are:
TRD is sable
Ultra Racing is White
Barbarian have gone for a deep red
Cusco is Blue

General suspension struts though are:
Tein Green
Meister R are red
K Sport are orange
Yellow Speed are .. yellow
Ohlins are blue and orange..
BC are black and brass?

What about that greenish colour (pastel?) that is on the Spirit MR-S? That'd be unique to the suspension world...

Would I like to see pale green when I open the frunk?

Hard to visualise that one.  One colour not mentioned and (seemingly) unique - gloss black?

David had nixed that one.

Bright whore-house red??
