an update for my followers  ;D

Several ideas for mods but nothing done yest. #1 was over for the weekend but I was abducted by lovers.

No concrete details from sc seller.

Recovering GREAT but first revision with traumatologo tomorrow. Will ask when/how much drive car, ride motorbike, make love. Have behaved very well I think; only sát on the Vespa, moved about Esmeralda on parking lot only, best not mention the latter  O:-)

Mine´s only a mechanical thing; replacement bearing. It´s that the bone needs time and reattached ligaments even more. The screws are like temporary spot welds and are not meant to take any loads. Sigh....

p.s.  Belle being SMT means téchnically I should be allowed to drive her without full recovery... Just don´t mention the steering wheel mod and ps delete .

Ardent

Ah yes the PS delete.

seemed a good idea at the time  :))

no, seriously, I think it still is and now has the additional upside of preventing me to take it out prematurely  :-[

Ardent

Overall still a win.

Going to be a PITA for us. D does not drive. 6 weeks is going to seem an age.

Mán that will be hárd. Public transport has it´s charms, well can have sometimes, but not when you need to depend on it.  I have two lady drivers and still feel immobilised  ::)  My empathy for the both of you and whishing you all the mental strength to recover.

Now, 6 weeks do nót fly by, but when they have passed, it will be near summer in the UK too.
That observed about 6 weeks, as written above, have my first revision tomorrow and that marks 3 weeks ´already´.

Right, that was surreal:
´Ah Petrus, ´El Invertido de Pilar´.
Hilaric story short; were surprised that I had followed instructions. Even more by how I have recovered. I on my turn was the most baffled by far and thén some: ´It is all mâhvellous: Start doing this&that exercise and yes you can drive a car.´
:o  :o

Beejeezus; thréé weeks only and I ám 67, but hey ok. Will start poco a poco with Esmeralda  :))

Petrus

By Jove  :o
Just drove Esmeralda to my morning coffee with croissant, Giacomo in the back.
What an effort but a lót more comfortable than in the passenger seat try soaking up all the bumps and movements.
The way recovery is jumping forward daily, will drive Belle next weekend!!

Petrus

A spin off for all visiting Spain/Andalucía.

The prospect of driving Belle through spring and Guaraní Girl´s enthusiasm to pose had me look at the Osborne Bull locations.

Drove about 300 kms yesterday, including hectic city and tricky unmetalled caminos. Went surprisingly well. Not going to be a week before I take Belle out  8)

Petrus

YESSSS! Had love over for the weekend so blew the dust off the MR2 in her charming company:

Hmmmm... less coincidence would make one a conspiracy theorist  :o

Just received a heads up from a JDM goodies seller in Japan with EU channels. A set of Volk CE28 for sale in the required size.
I know I have an open search request outstanding but still quite toodoodoo.

Very nice set but mán  :'(  prices. I do have the slush fund but it is a lót of money for under 1 kg/wheel.  The Prius callipers sure were a better deal.  Ánd the RPF1s look as good as it comes on the ZZW30.....
Yet; anyone on the market for Enkeis? 15" 7J  ET37  4,4 kg.  They don´t fit as cabin luggage, but you coúld enjoy a southern sun holiday and the dríve back or find a man with a van?

Petrus

they áre über 8)  sigh  :o

Price - a kidney and half a liver?  ;D

well, it is only money, not body parts and I dó have the slush fund. Would be nicer to sell the Enkeis though before ordering these.

Whatever I looked up before. It wasn't these. Must have been some other design.
Didn't like those at all.

These however, I get.

They are hot forged with extreme pressure and then some: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5glBHADoug  hence they are considerably thinner yet stronger.
As such they look quite spectacular and the bronze appears slimmer to the eye to boot.
The CE28N was launched in ´99 and like the RPF1 is a real JDM boy racer classic.

God knows what I was looking at before. Style wise bloody awful. Moving on.

Do these come in stock widths or same as you already have?

Petrus

Quote from: Ardent on Yesterday at 20:52Do these come in stock widths or same as you already have?

They are available from 5J even. Used prices though are as far as I am prepared to drain my slush fund* and thát is usually 6J , 6.5J but /J is ok too really. It is what the RPF1s are and The 195 plus 205 I use are perfect on that.

* at the moment in relation change. Well that is routine I hear you think but the changes are ´a bit´ larger than routine.** You know that my ´come time, come solution´ is one of my guidelines so not letting the possible train wrecks spoil enjoying the ride. It is a bit like tyre choice befor a race: You can réally only decide on what ís, not on what míght be as that is a gamble.

** moving house, maybe country, changing love, maybe marry, heck she can even fall pregnant; things of that magnitude  ;)   Ahhhh la vida es bella  :))

So, back to Rays CE28N  8)
