Title: locking wheel nuts
Post by: nimrod on February 1, 2011, 08:34
I have a facelift roadster the original locking wheel nuts furred up and looked horrible, so I purchased a new set from toyota that furred up after there first winter,I then had the locking nuts chrome plated that looked great and they matched the other nuts but after a few wheel removals the odd bit of chrome has chipped away and I am forever fighting rust, finaly to get to my point I am thinking of replacing them for normal lock nuts which will look smarter as we are a fairly rare breed 15 front and 16 rear I feel it would be reasonably safe to run the car like this, has anyone else removed there locking nuts has anyone had theres stolen I know theres a risk but so is getting out of bed.

you assume you average theif is intelligent enough to consider that before stealing them

most tyre places aren;t, so i wouldn't count on it
