Title: Sports Cat - 1zz
Post by: MilesH on January 16, 2018, 17:18
Has anyone got a good contact for a direct fit 200 cell sports cat for a 1zz.

I'm aware I can buy a 200 cell generic sports cat off ebay and the like and have it fabricated to fit, but I wondered if anyone offered an off the shelf item?

Thanks

In march i am having a stainless system built (manifold back) it will also include a 200cell cat. I could always get price for the cat only. He has quote me £450 for the whole bespoke system so not sure what he would charge for the cat section

180 welded in place of the stock cat, or any pipe for that matter.

How are they like for the MOTs? I am guessing the cat would need to be wrapped to get it up to temp?

My 200 cel cat always passed MOT no problem as long as it was hot.
It was wrapped and with it being a turbo never really had a problem getting it to temp.

Helen's isn't wrapped and needed massaging through MOT. but once hot, it passes with emissions to spare.

As others have said, get it up to temp & it works fine.

Apparently mine didn't look like it would pass but must have crossed the efficiency line quite quickly. MOT tester said emissions were poor then oddly changed very quickly to an excellent pass.
