After 17 years my vinyl hood has split across the centre, probably due to putting it down in the winter.
Ive tried Jack Smith but he is fully booked past Christmas and I need to get it sorted before then.
Are there any recommendations for someone to replace it, ideally in the Midlands area?
:) there are other places but it will cost you in the pocket.
when i was looking for new hood i went what was the 2nd cheapest after Ray(Swansea)
Southwest roadsters who uses a better quality roof material.
you can find some people who will come come to you but again you will pay well over £1200 for that. when compared to Swansea around the £350 mark now.
let us no how you get on with that.

Just trawling through my (useful information and found this.
More £'s than Swansea, probably not much in it for you mileage wise, but maybe more available.
I know nothing of them the info caught my eye some time ago and I filed it away in my iPad notes:

PS
Seem to be the same company as
@puma2 used, maybe that's where I got the info from .

Hi
@Silverbell if of interest I have an excellent condition mohair roof (that is in my opinion vastly superior in all respects to a vinyl roof)
My asking price would be circa £550, the issue is then the problem of fitting, some options exist but it may involve travelling a fair distance

I should maybe clarify the situation with the mohair roof
Today, I sold the car that has this roof installed, to a friend, who I know wishes to remove the soft-top completely (and with zero intention of replacing it as he is purely a 'hard-topper')
He also happens to have a Matt Performance style bar that has become surplus to requirements
I am not his agent, but would happily put you in touch with him.

And that person with the surplus roof/style bar would be me. I'm based in Telford and semi-regularly make my way down to Worcester -
@Silverbell could be in your interests to inspect the roof - it is mint.

I think he wanted black, I will shut the door on my way out ;D
:mint is a light, vibrant shade of green.
