Title: Power Steering tank cap
Post by: Mr220Mike on January 21, 2024, 20:19
Hi all

Quick question. Should the power steering tank cap simply lift off or should it be a screw cap? My steering has become very heavy at the 3 & 9 o'clock positions and isn't self centering. Went to check the fluid level and the cap just lifted off when I went to remove the frunk plastics.

Any help much appreciated.

As I recall it is a quarter-turn to latch.

The heavy steering sounds like a Universal Joint issue.

I think you could be right. It is certainly rusty. I'll try and get a pic at the weekend and post it here. If it is that, any recommendations as to where to buy a replacement?

Great shout on the UJ Carolyn. I've given it a good covering of WD40 and all is well with the world again.

It is looking tired so I'll get it replaced.
