I will btw speak to the local wrap artist again about chrome wrapping the hard top.
 Just maybe!
That is a " largish chunk", it's also surplus to requirements for some time to come now, but surely the hard top is not something that could be easily chrome plated!

Hence ´wrapped´ Tony  ;)
I could indeed leave it at his workshop no hurry. Even have the car to easily transport it  :))
The bloke was not in when I past his place underway to the local watering hole. Will have a look again on the way back. Also sent him a message. Fingers crossed.

He is abroad competing in  a lightweight flying event but my request is noted. To be continued...

Sorry Petrus, I did not write that clearly.
I was aware from your post that you were considering chrome wrapping of your hard top and that made me think of @TheTigerUK 'S continuing quest for things shiny. Putting those thoughts of mine together did not come out as I intended.
My comment was aimed, not very well, at Tiger.
In my quest for a coconut I got carried away and was not explicit.
I am also aware that to chromium plate a hard top would be quite a task, requiring de and reglazing and all trim removing and refitting. Not likely to be practical, but who knows to what extent one might go to achieve brightness.

well, if my quest for enlightening is anything to go by  :))  O:-)   We are now reducing the parachute. Adds some gramms of lightness as bonus.

Collected my shiny chromed heat shield today, they did a better job than I expected, they prepped it very good before they chromed it, I told them no need to touch the rear as its not seen but that came back looking pretty clean as well, hopefully get it fitted over the weekend.

Really chuffed with it :)

Say it with love, say it with flowers but never, never, say it in writing.

Very shiny @TheTigerUK, that should soothe your aching for shininess for a little while.
Will you be putting my coconut in the post before are after you've fitted it?
Ref post #70.

I shall be along in due course to see that in the flesh.
You need some sort of glass/viewing engine cover

Never really been a fan of chrome.
However it's really the only thing which can save a silver coloured car so I'm doubling down on the chrome.

Next thing to chrome, TTE turbo heat shield.

You could at least line the spiders up in the same orientation, that's proper triggering my ARD...😂
60% of the time it works everytime...

Ardent

@TheTigerUK

Just thinking. How about chroming the heat shield over the back box to match.

Joesson

@Call the midlife!

I believe there was just one spider previously, so that must be the "other bit".
Maybe I have ARD ( whatever that is) as the lack of symmetry jarred a little
