Hi Guys...I did a search and couldn't find anything, so I apologise in advance if the question has been post before   s:oops:  s:oops:

I recently bought a TTE exhaust and took the car to my mechanic to have it fitted yesterday. The gaskets which came with the exhaust are too big.

I am talking about the gasket that fit between the silencer and the end tips. You also have a clip that goes around in order attaching the three parts together Silencer/gasket/end pipe.

My mechanic had to order slightly smaller gasket in order for the clip to do its job.

Is this happen to you who had fitted a TTE exhaust?

No. My TTE Exhaust came with all the correct bits. Fitted (poorly) by MrT at Star City.

Strange!  The assembly is not so easy but I don't have this problem.
If I remembered this ring is slightly bigger than pipes...

Yes, that is exactly what i mean.

mine where really bigger and therefore, the clip could not hold the 3 peices together as it should have done. My mecanic is a Porsche and tuned car specialist...what he said to me was that he could fit the provided gasket, but it would not have last and i would have ended up with a leak.

The problem is now sorted, he has fitted different gaskets which are the perfect size. I picked-up the car last night and it sound awsome   s:mrgreen:  s:mrgreen:
