How do the seat coverings come off then? what it is I've (hopefully) got some seats that are trimmed in leather to re-place my cloth ones however the frames are bent and so I need to remove the covers and put them onto my seats

you cant swap the seat covers over as the passenger side has no height adjustment and the drivers does

I was nearly tempted by the Rogue leather seat exchange at

But over £500 just feels a bit to much for me to justify as my cloth seats are still in pretty good nick. Have you considered that option?
