Did I miss something on this one; I didn't think he ever took any money except for the side lights he supplied etc   s:?: :?: s:?:   s:? :? s:?

He made another GB, for triangular bracing under the front fenders, which he never delivered, but just disappeared.  s:? :? s:?  It was on SC, not here.

Sorry guys if anyone thought or claimed I ran away with the money for 4 sets of fender bars.

Truth is there's a legal suit that I have to fight for the past 11 months, and I was fully exhausted by the ordeal, let alone coming online. I've made this clear to the 4 buyers out front some time in April this year. But the legal battle dragged on until 3 weeks ago. Thus I don't blame anyone who thought I disappeared with their money. Because if I wanted to, I would have ripped off the money from the 27 sets of eyelids in the beginning. Claiming me running away with just 4 sets of fender bars' payment is an insult to my intelligence and greed.

Anyway, I've shipped the bars to the people involved, and refunded $50 each to them as my token of apology for their prolonged wait. If anyone of you who had suffered a personal lost in your life and had to undergo a daily ordeal for 11 months would know coming online, and fulfilling your bargain as a seller is the last thing on his mind.

It's my fault that I made them waited. There's no debate to that. I apologised, I shipped, I made a partial refund as a token of sincerity and my integrity. Surely I can't stop criticism floating around because I had made myself absent for so long, nor can I blame anyone who insulted/criticise me in the process without knowing the whole side of the story. Or simply I should just take it that I can't blame anyone who had questioned my morals during the time I've to fight just to carry on my life, because they just simply don't know me in real life. To all these people, I don't blame them.

But it's one thing to criticise, and another to spread unfounded rumours about an event or a person when the person who spread the rumours is a third party who doesn't know the truth. There are many young adults in both forums who have yet to suffer the demise of a loved one, and follow by a family inheritance legal battle, and they tend to rub in salt when they are better off keeping their opinions to themselves. To these people I don't blame them. I was one of them when I was younger.

I don't owe anyone an explanation other than those who had paid me. In this case, I have to speak up because I want to stamp out all roots of rumours once and for all.

Ask anyone about their transactions with me prior to me MIA. It will speak for itself.

I will have many more contribution to both boards. Right now I'm gotta make it clear that whoever's not prepared to wait a year for his order because I have a history of attempted ripping off fellow spyder members, please do not buy from me in the future. If for some rather nutty and odd reason you choose to ignore my disclaimer and you choose to look at my outstanding selling record prior to my MIA, you are buying at your own risk.

If anyone of you have the least bit decency towards a fellow spyder member now that you know what went on, please refrain from spreading rumours. It's bad karma. If anyone of you have any doubt about what I've done to sort out the 4 buyers, please don't hesitate to PM skeemer, Twin_Zero, grumpy and G.Gino over at Spyderchat. I'll let them do the talking instead.

Thank you.

Sorry to hear of your troubles over the past year, as one who has suffered the loss of several close family members you have my sympathy.

However, the discussion appears to of gone on on spyderchat and not here and any references made would appear to be in relation to dealings on SC,please correct me if I am wrong.

Nice to have you back around here.

Since any dealing is in relation only on SC, isn't the purpose of discussion irrelevant somehow in a different board? Unless the ultimate purpose for such discussion or any reference made in regards to what had gone on in SC is to instill a sense of apprenhsion in fellow MR2ROCers over here?

I'm in a very sensitive mood right now, and I would appreciate it very much if no further reference to this case is made without prior comprehension to the real event. However, if such reference or discussion should be desired, please be more understanding towards my present predicament and let any form of such communication takes place in private or PMs.

I thank all the PMs I've received for the words of encouragement. Like I promised all of you sometime back a year ago, my future developments in spyder products will only be accessible here in MR2ROC for reasons I had explained somehow a year back.

Mark, I've heard fron Dan you have his car and the fender bars. I'm in the midst of writing up a PDF installation guide which should be completed within a couple of days. I will PM you when it's done and send you a copy.

Tem, I'm sure you mean no offence. I'm just trying to draw a line to the matter.

Stu, the hairpins are always ready. What wasn't ready was me, not the hairpins. I will look through the order list again, and get the orders sorted.

Incidentally, this hairpin will fit the side indicators for Toyota Camry, Estima, Corolla, Altis and many more that share the same indicator design as the MR-S. The hairpin may need to be bend a little to conform to the contour of the fenders of the specific Toyota models, and in some instance the opening needs to be shaved wider a little. There are a couple of tiny points that need attention but I will post my thoughts on a seperate thread for discussion. Once everyone knows what to expect, I will then start collecting payment.

By getting this hairpin, you can use it on various models, not just our spyder.

Anyway sorry for the terrible thread drift, and it's nice to be back with all of you. Thank you for all the support, and I hope no offence taken by what I wrote.

Yes Heath, there are plenty of silver bulbs available. Actually not silver, just clear transparent bulbs that emits amber light.

It's ok, I understand.

But you also have to agree, that if someone disappears for 11 months (has it really been that long?  s:shock:  s:shock:  ) with someone elses money, people kinda have the right to say he disappeared with the money?  s;) ;) s;)  No one ever said you stole the money or that you won't ever come back, but IMHO, you did disappear.

Actually, if you take a look at some of the posts on SC after you disappeared, I was one of the few on your side and defending you.  s8) 8) s8)  I think you should also post there, cause your last post was on January 2006 and it's a common joke over there that anyone disappearing these days is doing a simontan. The angry people are over there, not here.  s:? :? s:?

Tem,

I didn't go through the posts in SC because that's not necessary. I bumped into this current post accidentally, and that was why I wanted to made it clear.

The fender bars were sent out, and I'm sure someone is bound to post to clear the air up. But certainly not me, as I had an intention a year ago to stop any future GB in SC due to the eyelid incident, when someone accused of ripping him of his GB. I had some hate PMs then telling me they would support American products, and there was no reason to support a cheaper and probably inferior product from Malaysia. I had to stop dealing with these people. Perhaps the culture is different here in Malaysia, and more likely the cheaper labour cost here and some are pissed about the unfair advantage.

Like I said, I don't blame them for accusing me in SC. It was expected. I promised G.Gino not to stir things up in SC, and was assure everything would be fine later. Why defend myself in a board that shamed me when I had the chance to offer back then, and now I have to be answerable to them? To the 4 of the buyers I believe, but not to anyone else.

The general atmosphere here in the UK board is more pleasant. Maybe I'm used to it since I studied here 10 yrs ago in Bath and Brighton. Kinda click better with friendlier people. I'm not saying there are no polite people in SC, Gino, grumpy and skeemer have been very understanding, and surely some others as well.

No worries Tem, I was a lilttle carried away in my previous post, please don't get offended.

I believe the economy in US isn't doing that well these days. One major reason seems to be that it's quite expensive to have anything done within US and you get more for less if you import it. That causes loss of jobs and a slow downhill over there and surely it also gets people pissed, if they can't compete. That's how our local media reports it anyway.  s8) 8) s8)

Yeah, people in UK are more polite than in US. There are exceptions both ways, but in general it's quite obvious.

Simon, I recieved mine in fine shape as always. I got the refund as well. I thought I'd post here and show that you have followed through with your sales. The parts look well made and I will be installing over Winter. I hope you will still ship to the US if we bounce up here to see what you have for sale. I have always thought your items have been top notch. Glad to see you getting back to things you enjoy.

I agree with the poorer attitude on SC the last year or two. More youngsters are able to buy the car now that the used price is going down. I read the Sales, Racing, Performance, and Events Forums only and even they are getting infected.

Thanks again Simon.

If a high tax on cigarettes is to reduce smoking what is a high tax on income for?

David, I'm very surprised to know that you have received the bars so quickly. I've only shipped it last Sunday at the Singapore airport postal service, and won't be expecting it to arrive sometime next week  s:?: :?: s:?:

Anyway, thanks for posting here and giving me the thumbs up. I would be glad to ship to the states if anyone pops in here for orders. But my orders will only be available over here and the Italian MR2 forum from now on. I'm positive there are many great people around in SC, and it has always been my wish to offer my ideas to everyone. Perhaps one day when circumstance permits, I may choose to offer my products over there for the sake of convenience to others.

The installation guide for the bars is almost done btw. Please bear with me.

Simon, I will be installing them over the Winter. I hop over the pond to here several times a week to read some adult prose and see if anything new has been found over here for the Spyder. My 2zz has a Rotrex Supercharger just installed and running this past week, and is being tuned now. This Winter coilovers and your fender struts should finish the suspention. This Spring a welded in rollbar.

It is a pleasure speaking with you again. You have been missed.

Hi David, glad you have the Rotrex in. I read sometime back in SC you are still missing a couple of the Tom's braces. I called up Tom's Malaysia and the agent told me the Rear Lower Performance Rod is out of production. Have you got it yet? Perhaps some shops still have the older stocks available.

grumpy

#44
Thanks for the heads up Simon! That and the lower body strengthening brace rear #1 is what I don't have. Time to contact some sellers. I figured I to get these to install over Winter. Again its nice you're back to help keep me informed  s:P :P s:P  I thought I had plenty of time to buy.

No problem David. Even Steve G. couldn't get hold of it. Your best bet is to ask Graham from JapanParts, or private owners from SC and see if they are willing to part. I'll try to ask over at my Malaysian side for you as well.

Why resurrect a thread from 2006?
My 2 was factory fresh the last time anybody posted here.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
