Fitting a new head unit, DIY or pay someone, is it hard?

Just bought a Pioneer DEH-p70BT, how hard i it to fit, been quoted £60 to fit it.

Is it a case of swapping the head unit and plugging back in the attachments alreday in teh present head unit into the new one.

But, yes, do it yourself. Search for the instructions on here and, as Mark says, depending on what you currently have order in the fascia surround and/or Toyota-ISO connector and away you go.

I saved £120 fitting mine, plus there's the satisfaction of having done it yourself.

Whats all this ordering parts etc and removing fittings and panels around the head unit, can i not just slide it out and attach leads to new head unit and slide back in, there both standard uk head units, i alreday have the empty tray under the stereo.

I took out my double din and got the adaptor and fitted the single din myself, now if I can do it anyone can

 - instructions are in the technical library - how to section.

rather depends if teh last owner used a standard didn cage or screwed it in from teh sides

thanks guys, i fixed it, saved me £70, i also am well impressed with the handsfree function, very loud and clear.
