Hey all,

Am still saving for my double din pioneer entertainment system thing for the car and am going to fit an 8" sub + a small amp. Roll on January pay pack! w00h00!

I have lying around from an old install a Sony 250w Xplod amplifier ( m http://www.audiosavings.com/products/SO ... 3b3.r.aspx m )

Will this amp be powerful enough to power the following  m http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-swe-843e.html m

Or will i need to reinvest in a new, more powerful amp. I don't want to use the amp for the sake of it but if it WILL be powerful enough then i dont want to waste money.

Cheers in advance!

It will, the power rating on speakers is the maximum power they can handle. Any amp equal to or less than the rating will do. That's probably not the question you're asking though! You could run a more powerful amp with those speakers if you wanted to. It'd try the speakers with your current amp and then make a decision.
