Does anyone know where I can source a front fog light switch as I refuse to pay 28 quid to the dealer for such a small thing!

Any lists of good breakers, or know of any cars currently being broken? Any alternatives that might suffice? Popped into Maplin and had a look but none look the right size  s:( :( s:(

For a front fog light switch you're going to be wanting an '03 or later car. Considering ZZW30 MR2's are a rare sight in breakers yards anyway, you may not be very lucky...

You could try phoning a European dealer, as prices for some parts have been shown to vay widely across different EU states, or you could just stump up £28.  Its not like you need to buy dozens of them.

Oh yeah, forgot there were no fog lights on pre 03s  s:( :( s:(

Can anyone tell me what the four switches are in the pre 03s to the right of the steering wheel?

I've found a car being broken but it's a Y plate and can't tell from the pics which switches are which.

4?

I have window lock, door lock, coin holder and dash dimmer.

Fogs were available as an option on the pre 2003 version, so you may get lucky. Give me a part number and I will ask my MR T for you.

Looks like 4 in the (very bad) picture on their site  s:) :) s:)

Thanks for the info guys, gonna see if I can get the window lock button as it should suffice for my needs  s;) ;) s;)

Might try and find out what's left on the vehicle as well, as it appears to have black leather seats which someone may be interested in, plus other bits. Will put a post in the for sale section after they have got back to me.

On the right of mine I think I only have 3 actual buttons:

blanking
dimmer
window lock
& alarm indicator.

Humm... my switches are on the left. To the right is a blank and an alarm sensor

Mk2 switches will also fit, and they had fogs as standard.

Actually most Toyota switches are the same size, so you can get one from any car built within last 20 years or so  s8) 8) s8)

(of course only the switches meant for those blanks in the first place)
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

Aye they would probably do. Just got back from the breakers near us and they have the same switch in there that is on ebay.

The breakers down in Southampton should be calling me back in a bit to let me know about the window lock switch. Would prefer that as it should match the dash a bit better  s:) :) s:)

Who would have thought it would be so hard to get a switch   s:roll:  s:roll:

Took some time to explain to the nice lady at the breakers in Southampton that I was interested in the switch and not the window   s:oops:  s:oops:    s:wink:  s:wink:

All sorted now. Breakers want 15 quid + VAT + 7.95 delivery so I told them to forget it.

Popped to my local Subaru specialist who I used a fair bit in the past. They are getting me a rocker switch with light, standard Jap fit, matches the dash, for 5 quid + VAT!

That's more like it  s;) ;) s;)

Hopefully get it this saturday, if not, the next one. Should then be able to have my aerial nice and switchable  s;) ;) s;)
