RE; AIRBAG QUESTION

Im trying to fit a non airbag sports steering wheel to my 2003 facelift roadster. Im putting off stripping out the existing wheel untill i know for sure that i have the correct boss for my car. I bought a cheap boss from JDM in the states and was immediatly put off fearing it might not fit.
 Now since reading further on the forum here and looking at the "bell splash" site, it appears there are two main types between either MRS/MR2 ROADSTERS, and MK2's. One has a tapered end with a slotted cam fitted for the indicator cancel. The other, the cheap one i ordered, has the other system comprising a series of holes on the flat end face of the boss 3 holes between ten/two oclock and another one at 6 oclock
Can anyone help to identify which type of boss it might be i need for my particular MR2
Id be very grateful for any help or advice anyone can offer on the matter
