Six Speed Gearbox Gearlever Thread

Anyone know the details I'd need to get something drilled and tapped to fit the lever thread?
Diameter, thread pitch, anything else?

M12 .. erm.. damn. 1.5 or 1.25mm thread - I think M12x1.25 (metric fine) as I seem to recall I have a gear knob tapped out to M12x1.5 which doesn't fit (d'oh!).

Could you not pop to B&Q, unscrew the knob (oo err!) and try a couple of different bolts in it? Don't force them though or you'll break it!! :O
