Chrome petrol surround advice.

I'm after some advice regarding fitting a secondhand chrome petrol surround.
It is perfectly clean and polished and im after a strong bond that will last.
I know that is not a good idea to try and fit something like this in the cold as this will affect adhesion.
Can anyone suggest a proper way to fix this surround and the type of adhesive.
