Hi,

Bit of a long shot but does anyone know of anywhere that has Brodit proclips in stock for the MR2?

I'm after the type that goes in between the glove box and dials.

I've emailed a load of shops online and they've all said they can get stock from the supplier in Sweden but unfortunately it'll take at least a week and I could ideally do with finding one before next Thursday for a road trip I've got planned over Easter.

Failing that if anyone has one they want to sell let be know, or if anyone knows of any cheap but functional alternatives I could get in the mean time that would be great.

Cheers
Andy

It's normal to expect that kind of delay for a brodit, but lately it's taken over 2 weeks for my new one for the new phone.
Cute & fluffy animals were definitely hurt during the production of this post, there're plenty more where they came from

Cheers, think I'll have to accept I'm not going to get one. Silly me for not thinking about it sooner  s:roll:  s:roll:

Trev, that's one of the outlets I've spoken with, also 'drive safe', 'car communications' and 'trendy phone'... All say they can get them but with the sort of lead time Nic has mentioned.

Might have to opt for a cheapie halfrauds version for the weekend.

I've had Brodits for both my SEAT Leons and they were/are great! But I'm not too convinced by how the MR2 one covers the dials.
Is there a better solution anybody has used to mount phones?

Look interesting, I've used something similar for photography. Not sure where you'd attach it in the '2 though?

Hmmm...looks so...temporary and crude.
Effective though. But yeah, where to put?

I think I'm going to get creative with the storage ontop of the dash. See if I can fashion something.

I was looking at this last night. I found a mount that would stick in front of the hatch on top but it was fixed with adhesive and I don't want any marks on my dash when I finally get the brodit.

When i worked at Halfords, i know that i could get them ordered in, give your local store a call and see if they can get them on a special delivery?

Nowhere keeps them in stock, so you'll have pretty much the same delay wherever you order from. I've recently fitted one, brilliant. No other mount is as stable in my experience.
