As per the title. Getting some quite varied quotes and wondered if anybody can recommend a place?

I've used "The Wheel Specialist" in B'ham before and they're alright. Offer a drive in - drive out service for £220. Means taking a day off work though and pottering around Birmingham for a day ... m'eh.

Local place to where I work said they'll do them for £75 +VAT per wheel but they were clear that they would dip them, blast them, hand finish because they're quite corroded, then powder coat in flat silver and clear laquer. £350 though.

Place in Banbury didn't explain the process as such but wanted £100 a corner   s:shock:  s:shock:

So question is, do I just take the lowest price in Birmingham (who I think pretty much just give the wheels a quick dip, quick blast and then go with the coating) or do I have a better alternative??

I can't add anymore to your list, but...You not tempted to have a ago yourself? Perhaps find someone to blast then to get the worst off.
Plenty on here have had a go themselves.

Hell no! I just don't get the time tbh. And I'd probably end up making a hash of it anyway  s:D :D s:D  Or nearly killing myself in some elaborate fashion - seems to happen when I set to work on my motors  s;) ;) s;)

Anyway - two other things.

1: Are we all agreed that silver car looks best with silver alloys? Can't think of another (sensible) colour that would work really.
2: I've noticed a few of these threads - is it worth having a sticky on places we recommend and places we don't? Set out by region?

I'll add city powder coaters in Birmingham to your list. Some people have said avoid, one of the lads at work has used them and they've been fine.

I've seen some seriously Dodgy alloy wheel refurbishments in my time. However, myalloys in Bristol are superb. Used them for 2 cars now, £55+ vat per wheel.
