Agreed Midshipster, I couldn't get the original hood clean no matter what I did to it. I think the grain pattern trapped dirty and grime.
Also when he was removing it, it ripped off like paper! apparently the just break down and go brittle with age.
Hopefully this will be better to keep looking good, it certainly has lifted the overall look, only time will tell!
Is anyone got a mohair hood that they've had for sometime, would love to know how they age, especially if it's red. I'd be keen to see if they fade at all.

Looks fantastic and you've made me change my mind, I'm booked in for the 6th Nov for a black hood but I'm going to phone him tomorrow to change to red on my silver MR2.

Should I just ask for Red or did you have different shades to choose from?
I don't want to turn up and he has already started on a postbox red one!!!

He only does one shade of red because he gets the fabric from BAS.

had mine done this month (6th Nov 15)  at Jack smiths, I'm well pleased with the new look Red Hood.
