HI All

The car is finally back on the road after getting the wings back on and some new tyres, i really like the wings quite subtle and house the wider tyres on the front nicely.

went of for a test run around snowdonia to make sure everything was ok. most impressive was the difference the engine mounts have made make the car feel much sharper to drive.









also finished off the brace which need to go back on

Love the wings but it does seem to break the flow of the panels merging into the doors a bit.

What is the purpose of them again? Brake cooling?

Hi shnazzle, no real purpose to them other than they look cool and they are 20mm wider than stock, and they are lighter.

Hi Stuc, yes very pleased its back together and driving again first time in 6 months its seen the road, felt good to be back behind the wheel after so long.

I had my name down as well but I want skirts at some point and that required some modification to these wings  s:( s:(

  s:D s:D  we really needed two new wings anyway so these popped up and we were sold on the idea. but to be fair they have been a absolute nightmare due to the condition of them and im still not really happy with them, but there on now and fit ok so thats how they will stay for a while, at the end of the day it is only a track car i keep telling my self not a show car but it doesn't seem to help  s:D s:D

i have always been undecided on side skirts for our car, but up next for us is bigger injectors and throttle body remap next after we go to anglesey for a track day with some mates in a few weeks which should be good, never been there before

yeah hopefully we'll get the weather for it, been driving all the roads we are going to be taking some epic roads and scenery.

As long as it isnt thundering down we will be ok.
Had a few wet days on the Highland Drive but it didnt dampen spirits.

Never thought I'll say this for mk3 mr2 but your car looks amazing! I love it!

Those subtle changes: lip, vents, front fenders and spaced wheels... and off course with hardtop... really add up.

And I have no doubts it handles at least as good as it looks... well done!

Hi All

Went to Angelsey with a couple mates for a track day yesterday, what a great track really enjoyed it and suits the mr2 so well, very technical. the track gods were smiling on us and gave us wall to wall sunshine all day coulnt belive it.

a few pics.

Meeting at 5.30 near Chester wasn't great but my mate turned up in his new 370 nismo what a car that is.

we all survived the day and the mr2 ran like a dream all day. love these cars

Haha it was my friends second ever track day he's just getting into it, let him have a go in the Mr2 he absolutely loved it couldn't believe how well it went round the track. He's already talking about getting a RWD track car now haha

Photos look good Tommy! I need to sort some smaller wheels, my 17s are killing the handling... I'm gagging to get a car back on track soon and not really in a position to spend £1k getting the 200sx tax, MOT, ins at the moment, so the 2zz daily will have to deputise!

Right, finally got round to editing some of the footage from Anglesey. First vid is a quick montage of the drive to the circuit in the morning (excuse the wind noise - I did try to reduce it with a strategic piece of foam over the mic, but it seemed to have little effect)

Near miss going into Peel corner at the start of the second vid, had to cut out half a lap due to being stuck behind one of them ruddy cars with the engine in the wrong place   s:roll: :roll: s:roll:    s:lol: :lol: s:lol:
