Yep, they are the TTE ones.

They are made by Eibach and branded by Toyota at a lot more reasonable price than Eibach's own aftermarket offering (exactly like the Remus made TTE twin exhaust).

Burrows only sell the real deal in my experience but they don't always know what they're selling.
They had genuine TTE ARBs a short while ago which they called a Toyota sports something.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I'll be just the springs.

If you want to refresh the struts as well KYB are a popular replacement (and I think made the originals?) and come in about £280 a set (from Camskill).

I'm running KYB Excel-G shocks as mentioned along with TTE springs and it's a very good combo.

Just had a poke about the camskill site.
They do the tein s lowering spring for about 120. Am I correct in thinking these would also work well with the kyb's

Cheers for that.
Have been wondering if a refresh might be in order. Tein S and kyb's would be more than good enough for me.

Art
you will probably get there before I do.
It was only this thread that fired up the thought process.
No pressing demand/need to change at this time. Much more a would like than a need.

Both the Teins and the TTEs are largely regarded as two of the best spring upgrades, and they are pretty evenly matched and roughly similar cost wise.

The TTEs provide a 30mm drop all round, the Teins drop the front 29mm and the rear 33mm.

The Teins give a slightly firmer ride from things I've read which gives them a slight handling/feel improvement over the TTEs, but they are also a little less comfortable with the bumps and potholes. The TTEs give you more of a stock level of comfort but a bit of a sportier feel.

I was in exactly the same boat as you and decided on the Teins in the end.

Have a little search of the forum as there are some great older posts about these, like this one...  l viewtopic.php?f=7&t=17694 l

Not sure on where you saw the tein springs for £96 but there are quite a lot of fake branded tein springs around to be aware of too.

How do people decide to change - renew - refresh

Is there a real world practical test that can be done to determine if shocks springs could do with replacing.
Age - perhaps difficult to pin down
Mileage - as above
Visual - subjective?
Corner bounce - ???
Feel on the road - subjective?

You don't have to go to Burrows for the TTE springs just go into any Toyota dealer with the part number and order some. As Toyota have a vast stock of these springs you can work a good deal out for them I got mine for £120 all in from RRG in Salford but im cheaky.
