Removing the Brake Servo

Hi,

Has anybody removed the brake servo from their mk3?

I don't mean pulling the vacuum hose and running with the servo still in place (I tried this and it was too heavy on track), I mean removing the servo completely from the system.

I'm currently devising something but was wondering if anybody had come up with a succesful solution?
