so I did not get round to collecting my stuff from the powder coaters but have ordered some whiteline wish bone stuff so with that here I should be able to get to putting the front end on soon I hope and I need to get a wiggle on as I could be moving .

not much today but again cleaning the front and zinc primer on some sensitive bits. will underseal in the week so ready for next weekend. I was going to change the radiator to a race one but I will leave that at this time as I can do that anytime and it could hold me up money wise as I really want the spoon ridged collar kit for the subframe.

also any tips on getting the rubber brake lines off ! is there a special spanner ?

good news and bad !

Good is stuff back from powered coat

now the bad and I am so not happy . Andy at Bonsai bless him  has been trying to get the camber bolts out and they are stuck solid and I just don't want to scrap the sub frame as in such good nick so I have given the ok to cut the arms out so will need a new pair and the engine mount laugh at his 9 tons of pressure so I need a new one got any of that send me a PM

Scrapped mine for the same reason.
It had already been welded once so needed binning anyway.

Great work going on there, I'd be interested in seeing the undersealing when you do it, pretty sure mine could benefit from some tlc underneath.

The bits are coming out very well, its going to look like a new car under there when you have finished.

Thanks.   s:D :D s:D

That's the idea do it well and then it's done . Was going to just do the wheel arches and change discs and calipers over Xmas but I cannot do things half hearted so started all this All or nothing project. Hope others can learn from what I am doing as this forum has helped me a lot, so best return the favour.

To say I love this car is a understatement. I like it more than my rx7 and that's saying something

Rx7s are a thing of beauty.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

At powder coaters this morning early . Sand blasted and at lunch it's been shipped over to Andy at bonsai who is going to add extra welds and make it better than stock.

Lots of stainless steel bolts and stuff turned up today as all shiny is the order of the day.   s8) 8) s8)

Wow raptor liner. This is really is an all-or-nothing restoration. I plan to stonechip the whole undercarriage come summertime. Where would you apply the upol liner? Engine bay?

Stone chip is old hat and so is any of that wax oly . My mate who spent all his life painting  cars and done a lot of restoration work told me about this raptor. It can brush on roller on or with the gun. I have got a Shultz gun for mine. The full kit was 70 quid. I got black but you buy the other version which you add any colour tintable version

The full kit is 4litres and I will see how far each bottle goes so anyone on here will buy the right amount. As you can by bottles on there own

I will apply underneath not in the engine bay as its really clean in there. In the Frunk though I will do some in there as its gets a lot of abuse so will get protection.

Will do lots of pics for you all on this don't worry

This week I am all out on prep as want to raptor next weekend.

I just found this on youtube as if anyone wants to use Raptor they can see how much 1 bottle goes I just could not find anything so I got a full kit of 4 bottles. but looking at this I would say 2 bottles on our little car would do and just 1 for the wheel arches
