I am running 195 and 225 on mine, cant help but think you should be too!

If you went to FL 16" rear wheel you may get less tyre "squat" under acceleration?

It wasn't the tyres it was the dampers they're in a very soft setting.
I have FL wheels in the loft but I will wear out these tyres first.
Even then not positive I will go to FL wheels so much more playful on the smaller ones.
there's a very fine line between playful and facing the wrong way at a roundabout [emoji50][emoji90][emoji90]

Been there done that.
Was on old tyres with fresh coilovers in my MK3 turbo.
Fitted at a mates place first roundabout I came across.
It obviously went straight in for a full 4 wheel alignment asap.
As well as new tyres.

Home.
It's bloody quick.
Too quick for the road if I am honest.
Makes some interesting noises.
And the rear dampers need firming up because she squats down like an American muscle car under WOT.

I've thought that a few times about vechicles I owned, usually just after purchasing, or adding some extra ponies.  Its a feeling that always went away!

Pretty sure the feeling will go away however the Speedo and the smell of the breaks pads won't.
Not had it up to 6 psi since the day I bought it home. 5.05 psi just now.
Love the noise. Not the V6 the Rotrex. It just sounds so futuristic.

I can't wait to hear it myself!

Had a bad night last night so got up around 4am.
Started trawling through the manual of my ECUmaster Det3 piggyback.
Wanted to investigate some of the advanced features.
First off fuel implant mode. This is where it acts more like a standalone and takes full control of the injectors stopping the stock ECU interfering.
After a quick read realised that it's a bit beyond my meagre capabilities and moved on to looking into boost control.
And this bit was disappointing. On a 6 cylinder application it can't fully control the injectors and a boost solenoid. One or the other. On 4 cylinders it would be fine.
So I am now thinking try and get it take full control of the injectors and buy a separate electronic boost controller. Have been looking at the gizzmo icb-r. It will reference rpm against boost so you taper it off at high rpm like SP did in their turbo kits.

I was being sent down the route of apexi avcr by another outfit. Apparently still one of the best ones.
By gear, by speed, tail off, different profiles etc etc.

As they're old you may be able to pick one up affordably.
...neutiquam erro.

Brand new they are so expensive. Didn't think about a pre loved unit.

I had an AVCR in my RX7, good bit of kit as it learns boost by gear and also had a 'scramble boost' option so you can set a base level of boost but then press a button and it would then up the solenoid duty/boost for a set period of time.

Might car mods have a installation and testing video on it ;)

Twas the first one I considered.
It doesn't reference rpm so it just a constant boost level.
I would like to have say  7.5 @ 4500rpm then drop down to 7 or whatever is deemed safe close to max rpm.

Think that just incorporates EGT which I have if I want it.

48L fuel tank = 10.6 gallons at 22 mpg = not that much.
Hopefully get up to 30 mpg on the motorway today.
Unlikely but a man can dream.

22mpg traveling at light speed with a big smile

May get 30mpg if you slow down to 65mph.
Hopefully not too much bank holiday traffic for you.

Enjoy

That's going to take some careful route planning, maybe we should incorporate an annual fuel spend into the numb bum award too?[emoji23]
