Just some final exhaust work to do.
Then some rolling road time.
Will surely need to with all the head work that's been done and a hopefully much freer flowing exhaust.
Quick question on that, bearing in mind my own possible plans for the winter, do you not need to run a rebuilt engine in before the rolling road work? Or can it be done gently using safe revs?

It's not really been rebuilt.
Everything was found to be within tolerances.
Just the head that's had a load of work.
I just follow the mechanics advice tbh.
Pat said it was mint.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Well ignoring the obvious "because it's got a hole in it?" lame joke, if that's what he says then you can only go with it as you said.
I imagine I'll have to run the new pistons, cams, valves and chain in a bit before I get mine tuned up..[emoji23]

Should be mechanically complete next week.
Then off for mapping.

No it does not need to be 'run in'.  If, by 'running in' you mean low revs and very gentle use.  It needs to go through the full rev range to settle the rings in the bores without glazing them.  Avoid long periods of idling and running at steady revs for the first 100 miles.

Cheers Carolyn, it was meant to be getting driven to the Cotswolds to put it through its paces but won't be running by then so I think a little tour round the Dales is on the horizon.

Just renewed with Greenlight.
Less than £450 all mods declared upto 300 bhp.
Happy enough with that.
Saves me all the hassle of trying to get Flux to play nice.

So, is this "new exhaust" ( at long last) close to your home now Scotte?

Nope no closer to home Tony more to do yet.
Had an ECUmaster classic fitted so that needs to be mapped.

@1979scotte I am glad she is back together now. I feel you have demonstrated extraordinary patience with this. I really hope the mapping goes smoothly and Bee6 is once more where she should be...

You know what's coming... Why the classic vs the black?
I know the classic does the job for you just fine but with the deal on and all?... Did it still make a big difference?

God bless you Pat.
What deal?
The 1zz 2zz deal?
There isn't a 1mz Rotrex deal.
Wish there were.
RRR couldn't even give us pointers to get the thing to start.
It's was bought from them.

Classic will do the job. Couldn't afford black and many of the features like E throttle and variable cam control aren't needed on my application. Overkill.

Did I mention had a  complete new engine loom made up and a coil on plug conversion done.
