I can't imagine fuelling would be an issue either for 300bhp.
Lessons will be learnt and I will be finished, light at the end of the tunnel mate for sure

Oh dear oh dear. How did the conversation go with the differing opinions? Andy

Don't want to get too heavily into it Andy.
Never met the guy which is a serious error on my part.
Wasn't there when the car went on the dyno again a school boy error.
I don't believe I need a 280 LPH fuel pump or 500+ cc injectors to achieve 300bhp on a 3 litre motor.
Agreed.
Quick calc shows 472cc. But that's assuming 10psi and no RR FPR, a max of 80% duty and 300 at the wheels.

So, you're more likely sub-400cc.

90% duty, RR FPR and 300 at crank is only 320cc

Seen this a lot when we were looking for a tuner; they all have an unhealthy obsession with Walbro pumps and huge injectors.

Good move to shift
...neutiquam erro.

300 at the flywheel is all I am insured for.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

New tuner is deffo the way to go mate.

So much has gone into getting bee6 to this point, I feel you are close to finishing with:
the right people,
doing the right things,
at the right time. :)

Looking forward to seeing and hearing her at DD.

Hopefully some good news Tuesday.

So the car went back to Dyno yesterday.
Has had a new fuel pump and injectors fitted.

Long and the short is she made 240bhp 244 ft-lb at the wheels 7 psi boost.
The Dyno corrected this to 295bhp which seems quite a lot but it is what it is and as I am only insured to 300bhp that's where it was called a day.
Being a V6 and using a heavier S series gearbox the losses are always going to be higher than a 1zz and a C6x.
300 @ the wheels is well within reach according to the tuner but I don't believe the transmission could live with that.

Was hoping to get to drive her today but the drivers side driveshaft has now shown it's age so will have to be changed hopefully get that sorted within a week.

Ultimately figures are just a tunning guide and it's how she drives that matters.

Numbers are good and all, but...
The bit I am interested in is how YOU feel about driving her. That's the report I am looking forward to reading.

That's a lovely curve as it is. I'd be very pleased. Fingers crossed it's what you want it to be when you drive it

The HP curve is typical rotrex climbs beautifully in relation to revs.

Yay, progress, shame about the drive shaft but getting there.

I am, and I think the whole club is, looking forward to the light at the end of this tunnel.

Hoping it won't be too long now. There'll be a queue about 40 deep for a ride-along a ding day  :D :D

I get where you're coming from, I'm currently at the point where I'm wanting to drive it but apprehensive about it going pear shaped again.
I don't think any of us will ever be totally happy with our cars but I imagine you grinning from ear to ear the first time you get to boot it one regardless.

Never know, next time you might beat me around the sprint course with torque like that!

Fingers crossed for you, but I reckon she's all right now. Nothing to it but to drive it!
