Toyota _ MR2  _ ROADSTER

Are badged on the back of the car. If I wanted to delete some of them does anyone know how they are held on ? And which if any have pins and Holes behind them ? Not keen enough to fill and paint Holes tia

Ardent

Stuck on with foam pads.
Fishing line or dental floss is a popular method for removing.
Will require some elbow grease to polish once removed.

Did see a black one recently that was fully de-badged. Even though I'm familiar with 2's it took me  while to work out what was missing. Have considered myself. I liked it.
For what is a comparatively rare sight on the roads. It does add to mystery.

Call the midlife!

All the rear badges are stuck on as standard so unless any previous owners have fitted anything non standard you're good to remove them.
Just bear in mind you might end up with a ghost of the badge on the paintwork as the paint behind the badge won't have been faded by the sun etc.
Put a bit of heat to them to soften the adhesive and then "saw" them off with some thin thread or strong fishing line.
60% of the time it works everytime...

I think it looks nice with just MR2

Roadster or mr-s is a far better logo IMO
Midship runabout is about as wrong as you can get IMO
I love the car, but the badging falls very short.

De badedged rear and JDM front on my 2s.
Hot water to soften the adhesive and away with the dental floss.
Bit of a polish after to loose the ghosting.

So pretty much as everyone else has said.

Prepare for the hey mate what is it questions or nice porshce comments.

Once all toyota badging is removed hardly anybody knows what it is.
Throw an obscure JDM badge into the mix and they are totally confused.

I had the Porsche comment from a neighbour when I first had my 2, he only saw it in profile.

The view from the drivers seat isn't hugely different, two humps for the wings and the bonnet dipping away in the middle.

Sticking to the ´OEM is best´ adage (for once)  ;D

Did ádd a badge referring to the SMT though  O:-)

Have they been engined swapped?
Or are the owners badge snobs.
Possibly just for giggles?

Lazy answer: We shall never know
Real answer: It's out there. There are no secrets on the web.

I'm surprised you didn't ask me why I had those randomly saved to my gallery.
The question is also the answer.

Does anyone know what body kit this is from?

I do not like the bottom half but the top half with deleting the opening and  the slope looks very nice.

I am definitely in the de-badging/obscure replacement camp!

Thats good, honest road dirt there, Jane!

We were mid tour and there was a biblical downpour that night so it was probably clean the next day...

Generally I like debadging the model and engine badges but leaving the logo, because it feels like taking of the brand badge  is just trying going out your way to hide what you are driving - but I bought my Mr2 completely debadged at the rear and I think it looks great and much cleaner - with the number plate off at the moment it looks even better.
I'm a big fan of European white number plates - yellow adds another colour going on.

Tinted the rear lights a couple of shades darker so its more modern but to the unsuspecting eye could still be OEM (using the corsa belonging to the older lady next door as a benchmark)

Exhausts aren't finished - need raising and don't have tips yet.
