I have been wanting to produce some for a while now.  I have got hold of a set of DAMD light clusters which I have already taken moulds of.

I intend to use the afterburner style lights as used in Rogue Systems MK2 conversion.

There is a combination that will allow these to be road legal and they are 'E' marked

Instead of a fibre glass wing connecting the two lights we have a twin aluminium GT style wing that is purpose built to fit.

I am sure that we can do a better price than DAMD (although this is a different design) which is £700 and £1000 by the time taxs and shipping is paid for.  I am hoping for a retail price of between £250 and £300.

Would there be any interest in these?

I am working alongside supastylin.com who have arranged some recent GB's for us and a specialist FG manufacturer.  I shall have some prototype photos soon.

I am also proposing a second version that would be used independently like the original clusters.  There would be no wing and the shape would be shaved to approximatly the same as stock.

The lights would again use the after burner style and would be made of FG.  The shell could be colour coded to the vehicle.

If anyone knows of a company that can produce ABS/Polyeuethane moulds and samples than I'd be grateful for their details, as i'd prefer to use it over FG.

Just a quick question, will you plan to make them the same shape as the Stock ones? or will they be flush, or will we have to by the spoiler to join in all up?

Version 1 will have a spoiler to join it up
Version 2 will be the shape of a stock cluster

Both will be easy bolt in replacements

I'm interested, without spoiler support of course

Yes!

Depends from the outcome and price of course, but I've been meaning to replace my lights with the DAMD stuff anyway. I wouldn't mind a cheaper option  s8) 8) s8)
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

Do you know anyone that works in Perspex?  All large companies have there own machines for their own designs, I am finding it difficult to locate someone that would create moulds and produce the item in anything other than FG.

I would prefer a perspex or ABS finish.

I would be interested too! The spoilerless version.

Adam, despite the fact that I shouldn't be spending any more money on the outside of my car, you know I'll take a spoilerless set!  s:D :D s:D

I am going to push the production of these seeing as there is a good response from just the UK.

Version 1 could be ready for production very soon, but Version 2 (the one I think will look best) will take a little longer.  Especially as I want an ABS structure.

Can anybody photo shop an example of what i've described?

I'd be interested for certain, dependent on final cost.

I'll give it a go. No guarantee on quality, though.  s:wink:  s:wink:

Right, here are some mock-ups (not sure how close they are to Adam's interpretation though).

Type 1
Type 2 (as Type 1, but with gaps filled in)

I like 'em, but only if the two lights are the same size (which I'm sure they will be, but aren't on the Rogue lights). Looks pretty good when filled in, too.

I prefer the lights from the DAMD unit, ie coloured and not silver on the outside.

Is it just me?

Thats great Dan.  The first picture is exactly how I envisage the version 2 to look.

I can use any selection of lights from this supplier

Personally though I do prefer the afterburners

BTW.  I think Rogue uses the same size lights but they appear smaller because of the angle of the unit and camera

Quite possibly. Taking a second look at the photo you supplied, you could well be right.
