Hey guys i'm a newbie getting ready to pick up my new Mark2 MR2 T-Bar Turbo Rev2. I'm looking for some information as i want to spend a few pennies on it as soon as i get it. I have a bit of an understanding about the workings under the bonnet but i'm looking for some expert opinions regarding the dump valve. I know that the car has a recirc bov as standard but i quite like the noise of a vent to atomosphere one. I was wondering what the pro's and cons are of changing to this type of bov.

Also there is one for sale in Rogue that seems like a cracker. First of all does anyone have it? Any opinions on it? Afterall its costing almost £300 squids so it seems to be a cracker and the boys at rogue really seem to know their stuff. The one thing that threw me off tho is that mine is a Rev2 and even though it will fit all turbo's i was wondering why in the advert they have put "only recommended for Rev3 +" Any ideas?

If it wasn't for my recent confusion i wouldn't have thought twice about getting a bov as soon as i got the car but when speaking to the guy who is selling he told me that all turbo's already have a dump valve in them its just a recirculating one so that it can't be heard but still helps to protect the turbo (didn't know that but you live and you learn) and also that if i was to add an atmosphere bov that its not as good as a recirculating one and the performance would suffer for it.

Lastly (phew what a first post eh) is there a really big difference between the different types of bov? What would you guys recommend and why?

Thanks
