Quote from: "salu.hk"Here is mine with 16" front and 17" rear.

At first I was worry about the ride quality comparing with my 15"+16" since this is my daily ride with bumpy roads of Hong Kong.  But then the performance really overcomes my concern and I regards why upgrade those that late.   s:D :D s:D    s:D :D s:D

Those wheels look fantastic!

So what would be the best option for tyre size and off set?
My Roadster is lowered with TEIN springs approx 33mm rear and 29mm front drop.

1. If I was to go for 17" front and rear?

2. If I was to go for 17" rear and 16" fronts?

Just need to know whats best, would appreciate any help.

Thanks   s:D :D s:D

I've just bought and fitted the latest Lotus Elise Club Racer 12-spoke alloys.

17" Rears with TOYO T1-R 215/40/17
16" Fronts with TOYO T1-R 195/45/16

Feels great and look even better since the TEIN springs were fitted.

Well I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but after looking at five pages of your different wheels, I still think Toyota got it spot on with the stock design. There isn't a single design I've seen which makes me think "wow, that does look better than the originals".  Stock are also so easy to keep clean, Interesting. The only ones I've seen that I'd be happy to part with my cash for are these on Barney Bear's car. Really lovely looking car Barney, I like it a lot. Got to get me some red callipers soon!  s:D :D s:D

I finally took the plunge and invested in new wheels and tyres.

The wheels are : WHEELEGEND 16 X 7, OFFSET - 40, CB - 73.1. Spigot hub rings were supplied (at no extra cost)
On the front are Toyo Proxes T1-R XL 205/45 16R
On the rear are Toyo Proxes T1-R XL 225/45 16R
I don't know if it is psychological but the car seems to handle far better than with the stock wheels and tyres.

What tyres did you have before.
Dont think the wheels would improve the handling unless they are lighter than stock.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

oh, those are not my cuppa tea at all. Never heard of Wheelegend, probably very heavy wheels. Nor the sport badge under the indicator  s:) :) s:)

Are those wheels from Halfords?

Do you have left hand and right hand wheels? I.e. The turbine shape faces forward on either side of the car. Like the lefthand ones do in the photos.

That's a very valid point, particularly if you are using directional tyres. Not so sure I'd let my local Mr T loose on that without strict instructions   s:lol:  s:lol:

Wheels came from LR_EXPRESS via fleabay.

Previous tyres were: Front - 185/55 15 Rear - 215/45 16
No left and right distinction.

As regards weight, I don't know exactly but they felt roughly the same as stock 16s and nowhere near as heavy as the 17" Ripspeed Atoms I had on the black car which my son now has.
I gather from comments that nobody here is impressed, but as stated each to their own and I like them.
The Sport emblems were just a facet of my obsession with badges and stickers which came about during the 15 years working in the sign game.
Tend to get carried away sometimes, but that is just part of what makes me who I am.
