Hi all

The flexi part of my cat has degraded  and unwoven itself. Is it done for and needs to be replaced? Is there anything DIY that can be done?

Depends how far your DIY will take you! Mine aren't far away from this, plan is to take to a local fab shop and have some replacement flexi sections welded in as my cat still seems to be working.

Other option is an aftermarket replacement pipe/cat
2004 Silver. Stock(ish).

Your cat will be close to its sell-by date by now.  So,rather than a repair, a replacement might be a better option?

Cats2U do one that works very well.

Mines are also bad and I have ordered two flexis like this https://www.profusionexhausts.com/weld-on-2-25-x-4-inch-exhaust-flexible-joint-repair-flexi-pipe-tube-flex/.

You'd have to have access to a metal workshop and a welder though.

I replaced mine recently with a zero item, bit cheap but beautifully made.

Scroll down the page. They are made to order.

I have his cat & back box.
