Title: Silver Paint In Engine Bay
Post by: lukeydoo on January 5, 2018, 19:59
I have a silver prefacelift car and know the paintcode for the exterior paint, but can't find what colour is the matte silver paint used in the engine bay is so I can order more of it. Does anyone know?

It's all the same paint. Exterior paint then has lacquer over it to give it a polished finish.

Which is more than some cars.  I've seen cars where the top coat colour stops and all you can see is grey primer when you open the bonnet.

The basecoat will have been a whole-chassis dip and then the lacquer sprayed on afterwards.
