Title: MAF sensor - worth cleaning
Post by: Anonymous on May 31, 2005, 22:27
So now I'm starting to settle with the Unichip - started thinking what can I do next...

Looked at the MAF sensor -  it was black with soot, so I cleaned the carbon off with a unused soft paintbrush.

I recall it's been mentioned before, nonetheless - it certainly made a difference in butt-dyno response times  s:lol:  s:lol:

I wouldn't touch those wires with anything as they are easy to break  s:? :? s:?

Here's another way, which I prefer:

Well worth doing. Last time I cleaned mine (ignore the CEL I got) the car felt much more responsive for a few days. Really nice to drive. I guess then the MAF got dirty again.
