Aerial wire

Having bought a new harness i forgot to check the aerial wire before throwing out the old one

I have a jan 05 mr2 red.

I see conflicting colours for the aerial wire they seem to change between years or even less, i have seen an 05 red edition with a purple wire, and also an 05 red edition with a blue/white wire although there were two and he cut the wrong one so bought a new harness after found right one.

Is there anyway i can check it with a DMM before start snipping

They are normally powered off the remote wire with an aftermarket install

I need to run it to a switch but the wire you cut on the standard harness differs between years my remote wire from hu doesn't directly link up the aerial power

Had two amps wired to remote wire and had missed the plug off harness that controlled the aerial plugged it into each end aerial straight up what a tit
