Could somebody tell me the best way to get rid of a small dint that I now have on my 2, just above the passenger side rear wheel arch, "Mummy" from next door has just knocked to let me know that her "Little Darling"  s:twisted:  s:twisted:   has just banged the car for me, "If you can't T-cut it, out give me the bill".
Yeah, just as if, £300 ish at a guess at a bodyshop.

The scratch I'm not that bothered about but the small dint is noticeable.  s:twisted:  s:twisted:

If you're not paying for it, then I'd go to either Mr T or a professional body shop you trust. Might as well get it done properly...

I have had small dents taken out by these dentmaster specialists several times recently. Most dealerships use them as well as I tested when I got one on the rear panel when it was left in Toyotas carpark. They do an excellent job and it doesn't need painting so no worries of colour match. Have you got a picture to show the extent  s:?: :?: s:?:

Do Dentmaster have a website or contact details?

I just noticed someone had dented mine (just by the petrol cap). At least yours had the decency to tell you MR2Blue.

I've seen these guys at work, and they seem pretty good.

I got a quote from the local bodyshop, £346.72, showed it to "Mummy and Daddy" next door and they agreed to pay, in fact, paid there and then.  s:lol:  s:lol:

I actually felt bad taking their money  s:!: :!: s:!:   However, the feeling didn't last when I remembered the 4 other scratches they had made before and not owned up.

Thanks for your advice, I'm just off to book the 2 in to be repaired.  s:D :D s:D

You shouldn't feel bad about taking their money, and I bet that the kids won't go anywhere near your car again in the future, that should save it from further damage.

My 2 went to the bodyshop today for repair, when I picked it up and paid, the receptionist told me that my neighbours had rung to check whether I had given them the correct quote, price wise.  s:twisted:  s:twisted:    s:twisted:  s:twisted:    s:twisted:  s:twisted:

Now I don't regret taking their money off them, mistrusting gits.

When you get it done and they have paid for it...make sure to post a Thank You card to them...something along the lines of "Thank You for paying for the damage You caused and thank You for doublechecking the price from the bodyshop."  s:twisted:  s:twisted:
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

Oh!!!!!!! I'd love to, but we have to live next door and the receptionist told me that they had asked her not to say anything.  s:twisted:  s:twisted:

did the garage confirm anything to them?

sounds like a breach of the Data Protection Act if they did. Disclosing sensitive customer specific information to anyone that asks.

sounds naughty.

Doesn't the DP Act only cover "personal information" as it were (ie. phone number, address etc. etc.).  In which case it wouldn't really be a problem, that's more client confidentiality I reckon.  Still naughty in my books.

As far as I know, only to confirm the price of the quote and to give a rundown of why it cost what it did.

my understanding was that any personal informatiion held about you, and that covers anything especially on an IT platform was covered.

The quote was for £346.72, £296 for cash, neighbour gave me cash, when paying the receptionist said "Just give us £290 and get yourself a pint".
So I got myself 3 pints.  s:wink:  s:wink:
