Quote from: "shnazzle"I get great satisfaction from a very clean car. THEN getting in and driving it is even better. You know at least a few people will either say or think "that's a well looked after car"

Me too, although I never thought I would say it.  I used to think there were better things to be doing at the weekend than cleaning cars, but I do try to at least wash/dry whichever car I'm using the following week.  It helps that they are black and dark blue, because when they're clean they look great   s:) :) s:)    Doing the mileage I am each week (motorways/dual carriageways and country lanes), they get truly filthy, especially at this time of the year   s:( :( s:(

+1 to that. I really dislike rainy winter days. There is just sooo much extra crud on the roads which is attracted to the car.  s:-( :-( s:-(

After a quick wipe over with Armourall Shield.
I can recommend Armourall Shield, as it is very easy to apply and buff.  s:) :) s:)

Frankly I'm a little bit surprised by all of you and your lack of care to these wonderful cars.

Mine is safely tucked in the garage every night, so does not get rained upon, hence no beading pictures from me!   s:D :D s:D    s:D :D s:D    s:D :D s:D    s:D :D s:D    s:wink:  s:wink:

Maybe some off us can't afford houses with a garage?   s:cry:  s:cry:   or maybe some off us can't make room in our garages due to other toys?   s:lol:  s:lol:  .
Either way, if we did have a garage or if we could use our garage, we would all still show the same amount of care for these wonderful cars.    s:wink:  s:wink:

A car can be clean and loved.
However many members seem to neglect the driving in favour of cleanliness which is a deadly sin.
Hell bound the lot of them.
Not quite as bad as being sorn 6 months of the year. Yes you know who you are.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Are you saying that driven cars aren't pretty? (gets ready to hand Patrick a bigger shovel)

Mine certainly isn't at the minute. It's scratched, dented, very very dirty, alloys are almost square from corrosion.... But by jingo does it drive  s:) :) s:)

Guilty as charged, and hard top firmly in place during the 6 months that it is on the road, just to make Scott's eyes twitch.  s:mrgreen:  s:mrgreen:
I guess that's deserving of a fate worse than hell, Miata ownership perhaps?
