Confused over OM bodykits pfl and fl

Can someone please advise which OM bodykits Toyota made for the pfl model and the fl as I see the same kit on both models   s:? :? s:?   So was there only one kit available for both models? Confused!

I found these side skirts which shows them on a fl model but Iv also seen them in a pfl



My 2 came with a extras leaflet and there's no mention of bodykits available for it.

Side skirts and rear spats span all years PFL and FL. The only change was to front spats for FL versus the full lip offered on PFLs

Side skirts will fit all models.
Anything that fits to the existing front bumper will be FL or PFL specific.
Rear bumper not sure.
Obviously any kit that completely replaces stock body panels will fit any model.

It's a rare car so the body kits are rare which means they're expensive.
Save your money or spend it on making the car go quicker.

Starting to make sense now so regarding the front spoiler pfl had a full length lip spoiler and fl just had corner spats.

What was confusing was seeing mrS imports which had a totally different spoiler yet claimed to be genuine toyota

Makes sense Scotte. Not into speed but like to improve the handling.  So have bought  the TRD upper front and rear struts.

Yes drove down there and had a good look at there Toyota racing cars   s8) s8)   bought front and rear top strut braces together so got a nice discount   s:wink: :wink: s:wink:

there are several offical Toyota modification sub divisions

TTE - Toyota Team Europe These are the same guys that ran Toyota WRC Rally teams. They made a variety of parts but the only body part was the TTE replacement Bumper
Toyota UK dealers sold varying parts from the TTE Range

Toyota UK Had a bodykit comprising side skirts, rear spats, and either  a front lip or front spats depending on whether its pre or post facelift. These were only ever available  via Toyota UK dealers

TRD Japan - a huge variety of parts including body kits. They were available as factory options in Japan, from a variety of independant resellers worldwide but never from UK dealers.

TRD USA, carried s subset of the TRD Japan parts and also had some unique to them. These were never sold outside the USA

Being the OEM worshipper I am, I find all non OEM parts much less appealing (borderline sacrilege) on our cars. Of course, if you want OEM parts, they're hard to find and extremely pricey so be prepared for that. Notice in my signature I've got some parts I'm still looking for. That list was quite huge a few months back but now I've managed to source most of the stuff you see in the photos above. The parts are definitely out there, it all depends on how much wonga you want to throw at this car.

Your comments are spot on superart it's like you say the OM parts are out there either rare or at very high price!
In the two weeks Iv had my 2 Iv managed to source genuine mudflaps, rear corner spats and trd front and rear top struts. Once my wallet has recovered I will continue to try and find OM parts the big one one for me and looks impossible to find is the pfl front skirt   s:( s:(  
It's such a shame no one does replicas of this OM front skirt part as it looks great much better than the other front spoilers out there IMO

And could someone please tell me this spoiler is in the wrong position! Surely it can't be right so close to the hood   s:? :? s:?  


Also got to say the front spats on the face lift model look awful! The design looks all wrong the way they raise up at the ends and where the spats meet the bottom arch the lines don't follow   s:? :? s:?

I don't like it either. I'm about to delete and replace it with the OEM ducktail.
The banana is rare though...

More rare however is my interior... I've never seen another like it.

The spoiler looks ok though just in the wrong place! Would look so much better just set further back. I love the ducktail spoiler my favourite I think it suits the lines of the 2 perfect. But I'm guessing you can't get these spoilers either   s:roll: :roll: s:roll:

Very few spoilers work on a MK3 imho the toyota sports ducktail looks great. Try getting the rear lights out with it on.

I'm really surprised how few people went for the upgraded two toned seats, they're sooo much nicer than the standard cloth/leather. I'd definitely upgrade if I didn't have heated leather as faff moving the pads over!
