Hi guys,

I just wanted to see the kind of interest there would be, I have been thinking of getting the Gt monocraft hood vents made up as a insert to the oem bonnet. if it were to turn out ace who would be interested in a GB this is all theoretical. gonna wack out a guide price of £250 for a pair made of fiber.

Note: you will need to cut a hole in your bonnet blagh blagh blagh.

For £250 I would imagine there would be very little interest. As they can get a full fibreglass one for Hazaltezza?

To make any use of them the spare wheel and lid will need removing and replaced with a tunnel venting from the back of the radiator to the vents. In theory I'd guess the extra downforce would make up for the lack of weight at the front end, assuming this would make downforce.

Oh and a similar product has been popular for mk2's for a while now

in my opinion this is closer to where pricing needs to be as well.

You will also have to cut out the bracing from inside of the bonnet as well. if you were to do these it would take a lot of man hours and filler to blend the panel in and over time if its not done correctly would crack.

I'm interested!
Was looking for a monocraft hood, then found the vented seibon version, was going for that, but don't really want to lose my spare wheel.
Any pictures of your progress with this?
good luck with the project!
Cheers   s:) :) s:)

Seibon do a carbon version:
Maybe buy one & take a mould, then sell the original?

It'll be a little expensive to start, but I'm sure the original would be easy to sell!, I'd be interested if the original has the OEM closure system. Not a fan of bonnet pins!
