Sound great.
Lots of pops and burbles.
Sounds the muts nuts at 6k rpm.

Am starting to learn that 1st is irrelevant and 2nd and 4th will suit most of the time.

Id imagine you'll have to change that statement when she is upgraded. I have a feeling there will be more gearing irrelevancy.

This is a good point.
May aswell just be 3 speed. 2nd 5th and reverse.

It goes past 6k just about. Makes maxpower around 5400 rpm.
It accelerates due to torque something that you and your 2zz will never understand.

I have torque too. I just use a gearbox to generate it at the wheels, not a taxi cab engine. :p

My heart says supercharger more than likely a rotrex.
My head says stay nice and reliable with na.
If i could get a 3.3 block from america or japan that would be nice too.

Headcase just had one arrive from USA!
2004 Red edition. 2ZZ engine with Rotrex 30 94 supercharger,90mm pulley. Link Storm ECU. Charge cooler. Custom Meggalian exhaust.Uprated fuel pump, regulator and rail.840 injectors.323 BHP at the hubs. Meistier coil overs. Matt under body brace. Front and rear, upper and lower braces,list goes on...

How much will that change the engine installation? Bespoke engine mounts required or is it interchangeable? Just thinking about that newly chopped rear subby not needing anything else out of it.

I believe externally they are the same. Its probably cheaper and easier to supercharge tbh.

Car will be taken off the road in Jan so its all sorted for new insurance year in Feb.
