The OEM front wheels are 6", are you running 6" width all round? Even the pre facelift cars had slightly wider rears

I found a table with some suggested min and max widths depending on the rim size, I think for a 15x6 wheel most people would be running a 185/55/15 (assuming they are 15s)

am thinking the following sizes would work and keep a slight stagger
195 50 16 front
205 50 16 rear

Holy thread revival batman! I'm actually quite surprised why more people don't have t sport wheels on the mr2, they are identical to the fronts in terms of width and offset (but obviously 16" instead of 15") and the rear would just require a spacer to maintain track width and you could maintain the stagger with tire choice.

What am I missing? Are they super heavy or just not peoples cup of tea?

For me the stock wheels represent the best weight Vs price balance.
I actually prefer the 15" pfl sizes as the car feels more alive.
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

It's just a personal preference thing for me as I prefer multi spoke wheels

Sorry the original reason for reviving the post was to ask if anyone is currently running them and if so do they have a pic of their car with them on?

I guess you would have loved Wire Wheels, that is until you come to clean them.

McSmallface

I do indeed love wire wheels! and have them on most of my bikes!  ;D

Nearly 12 months on, I am planning to put these wheels onto one of my cars. Like yourself, I find these 10 spoke wheels 'pleasing on the eye' and eg can be bought relatively cheaply. The issue of using spacers raises the necessity to use longer bolts to fit the wheel + spacer properly. Currently, I have arrived at this very expensive solution.

No doubt vastly cheaper options are available.

Like you, it would be good to see some specs and piccies from some of the members who undoubtedly will have fitted the tsports
